Hector is an independent Curator, Writer and Art Historian based in London.
He graduated from Bristol University where he studied History of Art, completing a dissertation on the acceptance of Street Art by the fine art world, and participating in curatorial projects with the Bristol University Print and Theatre Collections.
He assisted author Ed Bartlett on travel publisher Lonely Planet’s ‘Street Art’ guidebook (published Apr 2017) and organised the UK Premiere of the documentary Saving Banksy.
He has written for galleries such as Fluorescent Smogg, Semi-Skimmed Gallery, Kris Day, Delphian Gallery, BSMT Space, Collective Ending, Lungley Gallery and The WHO Gallery.
He curated the exhibition ‘Young London Painters’, presented by Admission Productions – Arthill Gallery, 22nd-24th November 2018. Featuring Lydia Blakeley, Elisa Carutti, Minyoung Choi, Emily Herring, Jonathan Kelly, India Nielsen, Marco Piemonte and Rhiannon Salisbury.
